IBS

IBS is a difficult "disease" to treat in Western Medicine.  Within the Chinese Medicine paradigm there are several disease states at qualify as IBS with their own etiologies and treatment stratagies.  That being said there are a few books and resources I have found helpful for people to read and take into consideration when dealing with the spectrum of disease states or imbalances in physiology called IBS.
The Low FODMAP diet stands out as a good place to begin.  This book appears to be the latest and best information on the subject:  http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Low-FODMAP-Diet-Revolutionary-Digestive/dp/1615190805/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1372950954&sr=1-1&keywords=fodmap+diet  Also check out Stanford Hospitals PDF on the subject:  http://stanfordhospital.org/digestivehealth/nutrition/DH-Low-FODMAP-Diet-Handout.pdf

And another good site that is commercial but has lots of free information.
